"...I've been battling wars in my life for reasons that I cannot disclose..."

Therefore I apologize for my absence from communication recently, haha. LA life has definitely caused me to re-evaluate my direction in life and the paths I choose to take me there. For me right now, I need to find the right ingredients, the right balance, the right combination of people to bring this whole journey together, in unison. I feel I'm close, but not quite there yet. Cocoon mode Is what I've been referring it to.

I have been doing quite a bit of writing lately which is good, in the very early stages, but I'm really looking forward to getting into the studio soon and laying it all down. I am beyond excited about sharing these new songs with all of you and I definitely miss being in the studio. Pretty soon though :)

Unfortunately I have had to take off April and May from performing, but June will bring a couple of live performances that I am very excited about and will announce by the beginning of next week, as well as some other very exciting news that I hope to announce very soon as well!

Thanks again to all of you for your continued support!

I would like to thank everyone who came out to the show at the Viper Room last week, we had a BLAST! Thanks to Donovan Lyman for setting it up, hope to work with you again in the future. The next show is set for Tuesday, Feb 9th 7:30pm at Adassa's Cafe & Entertainment in Leimert Park. It's part of a music series called Soul Loft. We are going to be the featured act that night, but it is also an open-mic night and the very talented house band Local Brew. So come on over, it's sure to be a great time!!!

In other news, my songwriting partner, Josh Amara and I got together last week and finished up a handful of new tunes. We are very excited about these songs and can't wait to debut them for all of you in the next few months! There's also some other exciting news in the works that I'll be sharing with you all very soon if everything goes to plan, so I'll keep you posted on that!

First of all I'd like to wish all of you a Happy New Year and I'd like to thank you for your support this past year! It's been a wild one filled with adventures, challenges, struggle and excitement. This move to LA has been one of the best experiences of my life. I've gained about ten years of knowledge in just four months. And let me tell ya, it's been a challenge. I mean sometimes I wonder what the hell I'm even doing here, haha! Seriously, but somethings telling me to stay. I just haven't figured out what that is yet.

I've been doing quite a bit of writing lately, starting to pick up the piano a little bit, and I've added a date to my performance page! Hope fully sometime soon I can have demos up of some of the new songs. I'll keep you all posted.

I have no idea what 2010 will bring, but I'm keeping things in a forward motion.

Also, I finally created a facebook page! I knew I was behind when I realized my dad had one and not me! So I invite you to become my fan on facebook! And if you're in the LA area on January 28th, stop by The Viper Room. I'll be doing an acoustic show downstairs in the lounge!

Again, Happy New Year and thank you for the love and support!

So it's been a little longer than a few days, haha! My classes are done next week, which I'm kinda bummed about because this has been such an amazing experience, but I think it will give me time to process everything and let the knowledge sink in. I feel like i've gone back to basics since i've been here. Not only starting over in a new city, but starting from square one with music and performance. I feel like I always turned a blind eye to what's really the most important thing. So with that in check, I feel ready to start writing and performing again with a clear head.

I'm hoping sometime in January, early February to have some dates booked for here in LA. I will keep you all posted!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday if I don't update before then!

I was getting a little bored with the Boston scene and decided I needed a little inspiration...A kick in the ass so to speak to get the creativity flowing. So I enrolled in some music classes at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, and I gotta say, it's really starting to do the trick! This place is like a little music world!

I have so much I need to let out about my journey thus far and will post that by the end of this week, as soon a s I organize it my head!

I will also have two new songs to post up as well that I recorded before I left...more info on that very soon. But I bid you good day for now and will be intouch in a few days!

So I'm very bad for not writing in over a month! My appologies! I've been hard at work on the booking end and will let you know as soon as something comes in.

I recently returned from a road trip to Nashville and Memphis with my good friend, Colleen and let me tell you.... it was AMAZING. It's a musician's dream over there, especially Nashville. There's such an intimate feel to it with a real sense of community. It has a spirit and energy about it that I can't quite put my finger on.

Let me set the tone... it was last Wednesday night about 20 degrees outside downtown Nashville. Colleen and I decide to check out The Mercy Lounge, which was an old warehouse that they converted into a music club. The place is packed with people, and it had a very diverse crowd. Great sound system, great set up, all around a really great place to see music. After the Mercy Lounge we hit up 2nd and Broadway which is just lined up with live music venues as far as you can see. Each venue had a band playing and each venue was packed! It was awesome! I mean it was 2am and these people are still raging. Did I mention it was a Wednesday night and 20 degrees... haha. Also, there were no cover charges and all the bands played for tips! "This place is another world", I was saying to myself. Even though we could only spend two days there, I felt like I was at home. I've never felt that way about anyplace before. Not even Boston and I've lived in the area my whole life! I sent Josh a text: "We're moving to Nashville!!!"

Thursday and Friday we spent in Memphis, another GREAT city. The Staxx museum was first on our list to visit. Let me tell you, it was incredible! I'm a big fan of old soul music, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, etc so this place was awesome to see. The Civil Rights museum was also incredible to see, just unbelievable. We ended the day on a tour of Sun Studios, where Elvis and Johnny Cash started out. We stood in the same room where all these amazing musicians recorded. The same tiles on the floor and ceiling, it was mind blowing! Unfortunately nowadays you can't walk into a studio and pay $4 to record a song!

It was awesome to experience a taste of how the music business was 50 years ago and how much it's changed since then. I keep asking myself if it's for the better or worse, haha! I was definitely born in the wrong generation...haha.

Enough of my rambling for now... I will keep you all posted with the latest news more often, I promise!

Hi!

So I found out last week that I was selected to play at the Ourstage Showcase night at The Paradise Rock Club on Saturday, November 29th! I am beyond excited about this show and hope that you all can make it out. There will be four acts including myself, so you don't want to miss this one! This is going to be a full band show, with my four favorite people on earth, haha, so I am very fortunate for that! We'll also be debuting at least one new song that night, which I am very excited about as well! As soon as I get more info on the event I will post it.

In other news, my music is now on itunes so you can check it out if you're looking for something to do, haha. Also, The Camilo Project's debut record is now available on itunes too. as well as the video for "Midnight Lover"! Visit youtube to check out the video.

The Camilo Project is a group I am working with that features Jason Margaca and my brother, Mark Foley. It's pop music with hip hop and r&b elements which is unlike anything I've ever been apart of before. The fact that the first song is called "Midnight Lover" should say it all, haha! I'm not gonna lie, I was a little unsure of the project at first, but once we started writing and recording, it really opened my eyes to a whole new side of music that I was never able to tap into. The whole process was so much fun to do. The record is 8 original songs which you can check out on my store page.

I think that's about it for now... I'll be in touch soon!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Saturday night at Church was an amazing success, thank you to everyone who came out and supported us! Jason from Bone Dry System and Sean did and awesome job putting this event on, and I just want to thank them as well! It was a packed house and the energy that was flowing through the place was magical. I couldn't have asked for a better debut performance. In the next couple of weeks, I'll be working with the guys on some new material, so we can fill up a full set, haha!

Keep checking the performance page for upcoming shows, and always feel free to drop me a line!

I'm using this corner of my site to just let it all out... Hence the name!

This whole technology thing is really getting on my nerves! But day by day I'm starting to take the steps towards embracing it all. It's not easy, but nothing about this business is. And unless you're on the inside, you'll never know. I have hope that someday all of my hard will pay off!

That's it for now!
